Braces photog!

So, I look a little drunk. Deal with it. ;) But my teeth do look a lot more level. The ortho wasn't lying today! :) I'm not drunk fyi. Did have a little wine to go with our election-coverage watching. Which has been ruined mostly by the hubby intermittently playing Halo 4. CURSES! We definitely need to hook up another t.v. + cable before I get the surgery. lol I've been reading a lot of Jaw Surgery blogs today. All the ones I've seen have already been completely and recovered. That gives me hope that I can get there one day. haha Comparing. My one guy that likes to hide is already showing his face! Too bad he's stained. I'm getting very frustrated with all the stains on my teeth. Anyway. I'm ending on a good note- my separated tooth doesn't hurt anymore! Just kind of feels like I have something stuck in between my teeth. Just an odd feeling haha. That's all for today. I'm thinking I probably won't update this too

Braces: ENGAGE!

S o I've had my braces on for exactly three weeks now. (I will photo them later) And I've been back to the dentist office twice. So once a week- I go. One of my molar braces came off. TWICE. He said he was hoping not to band my molars, but he's going to have to band this one because it's just not staying on. (Combination of reasons - bad enamel, biting) I've BITTEN down on it TWICE in my sleep. It wakes me up every time. It just hits in the right spot to make it break off. So right now I have a separator in for that tooth and will be getting it banded NEXT Tuesday. (Since my office is only open TUESDAYS... ugh) Today my dentist, Dr. Mortimer, said that my teeth are aligning fairly well though lol. So that's good to hear. Another dentist's office that loves me because I'm literally in there all the freaking time haha. Also they took a TON of my money already- so they best be nice to me! Next time I may try and ask him "approximately" how l

Jaw Surgery?

Well hey. I've started another blog! How crazy is that?! My other blog might suffer. ;) So yup. I'm having jaw surgery. I guess. Sounds crazy. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. This wasn't a decision I made lightly. I've been in and out of MANY orthodontist and dentist offices within the past two years. They've all lead me here. Down this path. After sitting down with my orthodontist of choice and surgeon (twice) I have decided that this is my only option. For about two years my teeth have not allowed me to enjoy much. I can only eat with one tooth on my right side. That's all that hits. After having one root canal and three crowns put in- my teeth are on their last leg. And I'm only 26 years old. Dentures by age 30 I predicted. They make me miserable about 50% of my time awake. So I said enough is enough. If this is what I need to do to enjoy life again- so be it. The benefits outweigh the cons in my case. I did them: Pros * Obviously would
