Well I'm feeling more like a normal person today so this is probably going to be my last "daily" post. I may still post frequently but it won't be in such a formal fashion, haha. Getting back to my house and chaotic life tomorrow. I will still take it easy this week, but it will more difficult to just ignore the litter box and the laundry, lol.
Today was good. Like I said, I feel more normal. Taking a shower is a breeze and I made a few of my own meals/food today. I don't think I will be making eggs every morning like here, but I can do the cream of wheat definitely.
Anyway it just me and my dad after I woke up at 9 a.m.!! A quiet morning, haha. Although I did get up at 2 a.m. to take meds and my mom woke me up when she left for work at 4 a.m. I only took TWO doses of the painkiller today although. Haven't had a dose since 2 p.m. today. Accomplishment!
Food:
Cream of wheat and my dad mushed up some hashbrowns and ketchup and it was entirely too delicious. For lunch I had chicken noodle soup with crackers. The crackers make it, haha. I'm so sick of soup and it's only week 1. For dinner we did a blender meal. I made one of those "steamed veggies & pasta" meals in the microwave. Broccoli, carrots, macaroni in cheese sauce then I threw it in the blender with a little extra potato soup to make it blender-worthy. It was amazing. Definite win. I also made a banana, pineapple smoothie with chocolate protein powder. Also a win.
Hubby and Millie came over after lunch and we just hung out. After my mom got home everyone napped except for me and dad, haha. We made dinner.
I colored and chilled tonight. Yes I'm awesome. And a pens fan.
Swelling/pain: Not much pain. The numbness is still so high (at an 8) that I'm not feeling much. My stitches bother me a little bit but only when I eat/talk a lot. My nose is betterish, too. Easier to clear. I'd love to be able to blow my nose though. I can't wait for that day. I feel like swelling is the exact same but according to these pics it's not.
So I've looked at other jaw surgery blogs and I always thought they were crazy when they said they never saw any swelling differences. I guess it is easier to tell when it's not your face that you're looking at every single day!
Anyway. Back to my home tomorrow! It's only across the river, but I'm pretty excited. Also nervous that I can't handle it. Hopefully the surgeon will okay me to lift over 10 lbs after Tuesday. I need to be able to lift Amelia, lol.
